The land is divided into two separate blocks by the public road that runs in an east west direction across the farm. The land to the south of the public road surrounds the steading and largely comprises good sized, easily worked fields that are level or gently sloping. With the exception of two areas of woodland, all of the land is capable of being ploughed and mown for hay or silage. The majority of the fields have vehicular access from the public road.

The second block of land lies to the north of the public road and consists of approximately 23.639 Ha (58.41 acres) of meadow land with the remaining 13.095 Ha (32.36 acres) being made up of a river valley mainly consisting of woodland and areas of temporary and permanent pasture.
